Business correspondence, legal documents, and case filesprimarily relating to Campbell's private law practice from 1912 to 1928. The collection also contains personal correspondence, law firm financial statements, and biographical material. Of particular interest are lawsuits relating to a contested gubernatorial election in 1916 between Thomas E. Campbell and George W.P. Hunt, the Baca Float Land Grant, the Casa Grande Valley Water Users Association, the Chamizal land dispute, and material concerning the Otero and Zepeda families. Other cases relate to cattle companies, mining companies and individuals. Also present are client's wills and powers of attorney. Notable correspondents include Henry Ashurt, Thomas Campbell, George Hunt, Sharlot Hall, Sidney P. Osborne, and Hiram S. Corbett.
